Clay Dates with Lisette: Wheel Throwing for 2 or 3

from $225.00

Bring a date, a significant other, your best friend, your parent, your kiddo age 12+, you name it and let’s learn to throw! Students will be given 4 balls of clay to throw on the wheel. You will pick your glaze color but Propagate Studio will have all finished pieces fired and glazed within 3 weeks of your session.

This is an introductory lesson for people who have little to no experience on the wheel. Individual instruction gives you the basics for creating cylinders that can be turned into bowls or other vessels. Outcomes vary, but you will have lots of fun with this down and dirty, old as time way to create clay vessels.

Please wear clothes that can get dirty, and closed toed shoes that can be wiped clean. Please choose date. Price includes 2 tickets.

Instructed by local artist Lisette Bedoya

Lisette Bedoya a Hunterdon County resident, is relishing in the joys of nature and serenity found west of her native Hudson County. Pottery is an unwavering passion as an instructor sharing the love of mud slinging for over twenty years teaching primarily at the Visual Arts Center of NJ in Summit and currently sharing her time at three more studios, Flemington Pottery and Old Borough Hall Pottery in High Bridge and Propagate Studio in Stewartsville. An artist who typically creates functional pieces on the potter's wheel, for Lisette, the ancient firing method of Raku is a cherished way to produce decorative pieces. Demonstrating Raku firings for the crowds at Peter's Valley and the Visual Art Center annually is pure magic!
